The solution celebrates quintessential underground imagery with a hand drawn logotype which drew its inspiration from classic punk and metal typography. This coupled with the choice of the iconic Friz Quadrata font (initially made famous in the underground for its use by the legendary new wave collective Black Flag) as the primary font sets the tone for the visual language.
We chose to use a clear and recognizable aesthetic which was carried throughout the promotional and merchandising materials. During the Worlds End workshops it had come to our attention that every single member of the team could claim they had witnessed their favorite gig at the the famous basement venue. We decided to harness these personal stories and run a ballot with a list of archived gigs and dates chosen by the team members, the winning gigs were selected and printed as part of the final hand drawn artwork applied to the staff t-shirts and customer merchandise.
