Designed by RIBA award-winning architect Ian Simpson, One Blackfriars is a Berkeley Group development that is focused on regenerating a key site on the Blackfriars Road in Southwark, which had been unused and unoccupied for more than a decade and is creating an exciting new landmark on the London skyline.
We were commissioned to record the progress of the One Blackfriars development, from the acquisition of the site in 2011 up until the present day. As well as charting the construction this report focuses on the people of Southwark and the work completed within the community by the Berkeley Group.
